Places to visit in Bangalore - Sankey tank.

Sankey tank.

A cool evening walk around the lush greenery and the chirping of the birds beautiful flowers,
with an environment that is very peaceful where I can sit on the colorful benches that are
surrounding the tank and enjoy the natural beauty of the Sankey Tank. A place where you
cannot come out without clicking a pic.

Travel And Explore
One of the best places I have seen in Bangalore for walking is the Sankey Tank. Sankey Tank well maintained and is about 500 year old perennial man-made lake or tank located in the middle
of the suburbs of Malleshwaram, Vyalikaval and Sadashiva Nagar in Bangalore. The tank has a beautiful landscaped park with colourful benches, paved walkways around Sankey tank, and
there is a swimming pool to its south and a Forest Department nursery towards the north.

In the morning it is usually the joggers, walkers and fitness freaks that I see around the park. There is also a gym area in park which is an added attraction to this place.

It feels mesmerizing to be in the Sankey tank during Ganesh Chaturti as a special tank for idol immersion has been constructed in a portion of Sankey tank.

Though the park is open in the mornings and the evenings, I like going to Sankey tank in the evening as the weather is more relaxed where one can see people of all age groups elders to kids playing in the kids playing section of the park.

Sankey tank is definitely one of my best evening walks in Bangalore.
